  • Mainly actual closing, costing, budgeting and management reporting.
  • Involved in yearly budgets and mid-term plans (5 years).
  • Prepare department and capital budgets and long range plans.
  • Control and monitor capital investment of plant.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register.
  • Coordinating the fixed assets tagging exercise.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff to achieve financial goals
  • Prepare & analyze costs monthly: overhead and inventory
  • Liaise with Purchasing, Production and Engineering for better controlling and monitoring of Cost of Goods Sold.
  • Prepare and maintain standard costs to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Provide analysis and special project work as requested
  • Monthly and year-end closing for accuracy and timely financial and management reporting
  • Assist in yearly audit verification of goods in inventory, SAP inventory valuation and as needed at yearly fiscal audit
  • Assist with yearly Corporate Internal Control Audit, Account analysis and special project work as requested
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly management reporting in FiT on time to Local and Group Management.
  • Ensure that recording and filling are always updated.
  • Any other finance and accounting matters as required by the Management and Superiors.
  • Adhere and actively participate in occupational safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and activities such as I-See I-Act, GPI, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or professional degree of any relevant disciplines.
  • Professional qualification in Accounting - CIMA would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in cost controlling function with multi-national companies would be an added advantage.
  • General understanding of IFRS, knowledge of Malaysian accounting standard, local direct and indirect tax laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative to take on new duties.
  • Possess business curiosity to understand the business environment.
  • Able to interact with all level of staff and cope in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Preferable with SAP knowledge.
  • Able to work on public holiday and weekend when require by Group Accounting and Controlling team for account closure.
