RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Strategically plan and manage logistics, tank yard, transportation, and customer services.

  • Keep abreast of the existing trends in the shipping / local transportation industry, liaise and negotiate with freight forwarders for the best shipping rates and lorry forwarders for local transportation insurance rates.

Ensure loading bay, receiving bay, tank yard, weighbridge environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are always maintained.

Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.

  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints. (Internally or externally from our buyers and marketing teams).
  • Meet cost, productivity, stock accuracy and KPI targets. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciles with stocks on daily, weekly & monthly basis.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
  • Maintains tank yard, weighbridge and logistics staff by recruiting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Ensuring stock and inventory accuracy and the correct quantities are shipped to our buyers both local and foreign.
  • Overseas outgoing shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Ensure each shipment during loading on time, in specs and results forwarded to the GM / DGM.
  • Monitoring and coordinate the shipment with FJB Bulkers / tank yard operators to ensure there are no penalty / demurrage charges.
  • Ensure the activities department are conducted in a safe environment and fully support the SHC activities. Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in logistic Management, engineering background or any related field.
  • At least 5 to 8 years experiences in tank yard, bulk shipping and operation management.
  • Experience in working in Oleochemical industry will be added advantage
  • Ability to build strong business relationship with suppliers, and thirdparty logistics, service vendors, bulkers, surveyors & etc.
  • Familiar with various problemsolving techniques to resolve business and organization issues.
  • Proven leadership ability with good negotiation and people management skills.
  • Proficient in both written and presentation skills.
  • High tenacity, resilient and able to work in high pressure environment to meet tight deadlines.

Salary:
RM8, RM12,000.00 per month
