Duties and responsibilities

  • To conduct inspections of solar PV plants as per maintenance plan, with scope of work (not limited to) below:
  • Perform monthly physical meter reading for sites that are not ready for online monitoring yet.
  • Perform testing works on LV AC and DC systems, such as insulation resistance test, continuity test, earth resistance test etc.
  • Perform general inspections on main switchboard, PV system, inverters, electrical panels etc. to ensure they are in good condition.
  • Record and monitor the performance of PV plant generation and report to the O&M engineers.
  • Check for relevant equipment and machinery firefighting systems and ensure compliances are met. Report any signs of fault or expiration.
  • Report any fire & safety/security related matters to the Manager
  • Perform any replacement/rectifications as and when necessary, as per instructed by the O&M engineers.
  • Liaise / supervise the subcontractor's activities to ensure topnotch quality is upheld.
  • Provide technical assistance in QA/QC efforts during new project handover.
  • To submit reports with photo descriptions on the abovementioned work scopes to the O&M engineers for endorsement on a timely manner, reporting frequency set accordingly.
  • Responsible to perform ELV, LV and DC work as and when required as per technical competencies acquired.
  • Assist the Head of Department to ensure the Service team's compliance to company policy guided by ISO processes.
  • To execute additional tasks, as and when assigned and when required by the dept/management.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of onsite technical experience.
  • Ability to interpret nameplate specifications, drawings, schematics.
  • Able to work in a teamwork environment with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in solar PV plants will be added advantage.
  • Positions available in Northern, Bayan Lepas

Job Type:
Contract

Contract length: 24 months

Salary:
RM3, RM3,500.00 per month
