HSES Specialist

Job description:

Role and responsibilities:

• Provides direction and assistance with the implementation of core Health, Safety Environmental (HSE) issues on site operations trains, monitor and coaches employees and interfaces with training department to improve skill levels for managing HSE initiatives, leads efforts to ensure adherence to:
• Corporate principles, policies and standards
• Relevant occupational safety & health, environment & fire legislations
• Meet Clients' principles, policies and standards.
• Oversees the Customer Service activities and Project Management (PM) for health, safety and environmental issues including timely reporting and record keeping. Assists all sites in Malaysia locations with similar issues.
• Assists in ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 HSE MS annual surveillance audit and recertification audit.

Nusajaya, Malaysia

You are meant for this job if:

• Have successfully completed the Safety and Health Officer (SHO) Course conducted by NIOSH or any other training provider approved by DOSH. Registered Safety & Health Officer with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health, Malaysia is advantage.
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science or related field. Safety coursework or involvement with HSE procedures is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 series.
• 35 years of previous HSE experience in similar capacity. Familiarity with Metal-Steel Machining industry / Fabrication yard operation including heavy lifts, pressure testing, material handling, etc
• Familiarity of Industry Standards and relevant industry HSE regulations and requirements.
