Overview:


The Preschool and Infant Care Center Principal will be responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the center, including managing staff, ensuring high-quality care and education for children, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for all.

The Principal will work closely with families and staff to ensure that all children receive the best possible care and educational experiences.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Overseeing daily operations:

The principal is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kindergarten, ensuring that all activities and procedures are running smoothly.


Creating and implementing curriculum:

The principal is responsible for creating and implementing a curriculum that meets the educational needs of the children in the kindergarten, ensuring that it meets state standards.


Managing staff:

The principal is responsible for managing and supervising the staff at the kindergarten, which includes teachers, support staff, and administrative staff.

This involves hiring and training new staff members, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing any issues that may arise. Lead and manage a team of teachers and staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Communicating with parents:

The principal is responsible for communicating with parents and guardians on a regular basis to keep them informed about their child's progress and any other important information.


Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment: The principal is responsible for ensuring that the kindergarten provides a safe and nurturing environment for the children in its care.

This includes implementing safety protocols, providing appropriate resources and equipment, and fostering a positive and supportive culture.

Managing the budget:

The principal is responsible for managing the kindergarten's budget, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to support the needs of the kindergarten.


Building relationships with community stakeholders:

The principal is responsible for building positive relationships with community stakeholders, including other educators, local organizations, and government officials.


Conduct regular staff evaluations and professional development, ensuring that all staff members are fully trained and equipped to provide the best possible care and education.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in a preschool or infant care center, including experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, and to build and maintain effective teams.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and staffing.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to preschool and infant care, and a commitment to ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective curriculum and educational programs.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education for all children.
  • Experience with community outreach and collaboration.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.


Overall, the principal of a kindergarten for 4-6 year-olds plays a crucial role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment that supports the growth and development of young children.


Salary:
RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
