Job Purpose
To manage medical affairs concerning the specialist doctors practicing here including recruitment of specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment of Doctors
- To actively recruit new consultants for the hospital, in line with the hospitals requirements.
- To use the National Specialist Register as a guide to source for potential new specialist doctors.
- Once identified, to go out to meet with these doctors and entice them to join Assunta Hospital.
- To arrange meetings between potential doctors with the CEO and the PIC.
- To advertise vacancies for specialists using other avenues such as news media, social media and websites.
Doctors' Meetings
- To help organize MDAC meetings with the Chairman of the MDAC, which includes arranging meeti room, refreshments and taking minutes of meeting.
- To oversee the subcommittees of the MDAC and report to the PIC & CMO accordingly.
- To ascertain that regular meetings of the subcommittees are held in a timely manner.
- To record minutes of the subcommittee meetings.
- To organize Mortality and Morbidity meetings for the hospital according to the requirements.
Other Duties
- To assist the Administration Department on the renewal of Hospital License in making sure that all doctors' documents are in place.
- To assist the PIC & CMO during medical and accreditation audits.
- To monitor and remind Consultants and Medical Officers to renew the yearly Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- To organize the biweekly Continuing Professional Development talks for the doctors. To register with the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) for points.
- To monitor and remind Consultants to renew their annual Medical Indemnity Insurance policies.
- To be involved in Marketing the Consultant doctors.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Nursing/Degree in any Allied Health Field/Basic Medical Degree.
Working Conditions
- Office Hours am to 05.30pm (Weekdays)
- Saturday pm (Saturdays)
- Sunday Off.

RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
