POSITION :
LECTURER (GEOMATICS)

Main purpose of the job:

  • To carry out teaching and administration within the School of Geomatics and Geospatial
  • Technology at the Academic Department, especially in the area of GNSS/Cadastral/Engineering.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To teach at Certificate and Diploma level in areas allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department.
  • To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
  • To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work, assessment of student work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
  • To participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
  • To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
  • To provide pastoral care and support to student.
  • To participate in the administration of the department's programs of study and other activities as requested.
  • To contribute to department, faculty, or Collegewide working groups or committees as requested.
  • To maintain own continuing professional development.
  • To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.

Job Requirement:

  • Working experiences in related industry/teaching or academic administration and management in education business setting environment is an advantage.
  • Good organizational, leadership and teaching skills.
  • Good communication skill in English language is an advantage.
  • Independent and computer literate.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.

Pay:
From RM2,300.00 per month
