Job Descriptions:

  • Perform various welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW), to join metal components and structures.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures.
  • Prepare materials, set up welding equipment, and select appropriate welding methods and materials based on project specifications.
  • Perform pipeline welding and repairs on oil, gas, and petrochemical pipelines using specialized welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ensure proper alignment, fitup, and joint preparation for welding of pipeline sections.
  • Conduct nondestructive testing (NDT) and visual inspections to verify the quality and integrity of welded joints.
  • Monitor and maintain welding parameters, such as voltage, current, and travel speed, to achieve desired weld quality and integrity.
  • Conduct visual inspections and weld quality assessments to ensure compliance with welding standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Identify and address defects, discontinuities, and imperfections in welded joints through repair or rework as needed.

Requirements:

  • Possess at least SPM or SPMV certificates.
  • Possess welding certificateMinimum two (2) years working experience in oil, gas & petrochemical industry relevant to welding works.

Salary:
RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
