Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections:
Perform comprehensive inspections of workplaces to assess compliance with OSHA regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Investigate complaints and accidents:

Respond to complaints or reports of workplace hazards, accidents, injuries, or fatalities and conduct investigations to determine the cause and ensure corrective actions are taken.


Identify hazards:

Identify potential health and safety hazards in workplaces, including but not limited to, hazardous materials, machinery, electrical systems, ergonomics, and personal protective equipment.


Assess risks:
Evaluate the level of risk associated with identified hazards and determine the appropriate measures needed to mitigate risks.

Enforce OSHA standards:

Ensure that employers adhere to OSHA regulations by issuing citations, penalties, and recommendations for corrective actions when violations are found.


Provide guidance and education:

Offer guidance and education to employers, employees, and stakeholders regarding OSHA regulations, standards, and best practices for maintaining a safe working environment.


Maintain records:
Prepare detailed reports of inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions, documenting findings, violations, and corrective actions taken.

Collaborate with stakeholders:

Coordinate and collaborate with employers, employees, labor unions, industry associations, and other government agencies to promote and improve workplace safety and health.


Stay updated on regulations:

Stay abreast of changes and updates in OSHA regulations, standards, and policies to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to stakeholders.


Participate in training and development:
Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including training programs, workshops, and seminars related to occupational safety and health.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Experience in conducting workplace inspections or related safety assessments.

Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field.

Familiarity with industry-specific safety requirements is desirable.

Certification as an OSHA Compliance Officer or similar credentials are advantageous.

Salary:
Up to RM4,500.00 per month
