We are looking to hire several Product Information Officer.

The role is to focus on assessing and summarizing product information for raw material, packaging, marketing materials and finished products to ensure it is concise and easy to understand. This assessment involves the application of scientific knowledge, technical information, scientific data, research journal, articles, and technical specifications. In addition, this role is important in enabling effective marketing efforts by providing compelling product messaging to achieve company's objective.

This role will be a permanent and full-time position

Successful Candidates are expected to:

  • Generate, assess and analyse research journal and associated technical information to extract key information related to raw materials, products and packaging including benefits, features and research findings.
  • Compile and summarize scientific data and technical specifications into clear, concise, and engaging product information that is easily understandable.
  • Prepare and review product information for raw materials specifications, product descriptions, presentations, training materials, brochures, labels, and other related marketing materials complying with company's objectives
  • Manage communication with internal department and gather/develop information required for product information development
  • Ensure accuracy of product information documentation, protocols, and timely development while maintaining alignment with marketing's guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to the internal team and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during research and development.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of raw materials, health and food supplements requirements and stay up to date on changes.
  • Proactively conduct market research and implementation to identify customer needs, target audiences, preferences, and market trends to inform product messaging and positioning.
  • Ensure confidentiality of obtained information and adhere to company policies and standards.
  • Develop and deliver training to employees on product information-related topics.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies.
  • Perform any other duties and tasks requested by the company.

To be considered for this position:

  • Tertiary qualification in Technical Writing, Communications, Biotechnology, Nutrition, Food Science, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Proven track record as a product information officer. Minimum of 2 years related experience in ingredient, food, nutraceutical manufacturing and retails.
  • Great written skills and ability to provide compelling and persuasive product information. Ability to align product information with the company's objectives
  • High attention to details, perform tasks in a methodical and thorough manner within scheduled timeframe and strong drive for improvement.
  • Develop constructive relationships to support our diverse teams.
  • Candidates must have no history of substance abuse and must have a clean criminal record.
