We are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to strengthen our site's EHS programs, ensuring strict adherence to local EHS laws, regulations, and Haleon standards.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in effectively overseeing EHS, sustainability, hazards, and risks in the following core areas:

  • EHS Management System
  • Risk Assessment and Management

Your role will involve providing EHS support in alignment with local legislations, including the Workplace Safety & Health Act, Environmental Protection and Management Act, Fire Safety Act, etc.


Key Responsibilities**:

Governance, Policies and Regulations

  • Coordinate and follow up on matters arising from external audits and inspections carried out by corporate personnel and local authorities.
  • Chair / manage relevant site EHS governance councils (e.g., EHS Council, EHS Pre-RMCB, EIT Forum) with direction from the EHS Shared Service and Senior Management.

Program Implementation

  • Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Occupational Hygiene (Chemical, Noise and Ergonomics) improvement plan and programs plan in line with Haleon and sitespecific objectives.
  • Conduct appropriate risk assessments and provide recommendations (aligned with the hierarchy of controls) supporting Occupational Hygiene related risks / activities.
  • Support the development and implementation of the site Occupational Safety improvement plan in line with Haleon and sitespecific objectives.
  • Liaise with the relevant local authorities (i.e., DOSH, DoE) for relevant approvals or clarifications required.
  • Support plant modifications and capital projects on site at various stages ranging from design studies to qualification and commissioning activities.
  • Lead / support the review, communication and implementation of Haleon ENG / EHS Alerts on site.

Inspection and Audit

  • Conduct regular audits of the EHS management system and inspection of the work environment.
  • Assist in the closure of CAPA arising from the internal and external audits.

Training and Education

  • Facilitate the development of site EHS (i.e., Occupational Hygiene) competencies.
  • Provide appropriate training for Staff and Contractors. Such trainings include General EHS awareness, Risk Assessment, Occupational Hygiene topics.

Investigation & Reporting

  • Support EHS investigations and analysis using 6step RCA, and maintain the statistics of any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational illness which has happened in the workplace.
  • Responsible for data entry and updating EHS One website for ZAP, injury / illness with/without lost time, manhours worked, environmental sustainability (energy, water, waste).

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering / science / environmental, Health & Safety
  • You must have at least 34 years of relevant working experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • You must be a Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH and / or Occupational Hygienist (CHRA Assessor, Hygiene Tech 1 or 2, Noise Risk Assessor or BOHS) preferred.
  • Able to work on a Fixed Term Contract basis.
