The critical Job Functions of a Marine Superintendent are as follows:

  • Manage and organise all port operations and activities including safe berthing/ unberthing, cargo handling (Bulk/ Break Bulk, Petroleum Products and Container) and marine billing process.
  • Manage, establish and maintain good working relationship between Authorities, Government Agencies, Port tenant, regular contact, correspondence and meetings to facilitate smooth port operation and to ensure TLPT interests are addressed in any regulatory and business environment changes.
  • Ensure all port activities are aligned and comply with TLPT requirements with the adoption of national and international standards, rules and regulations, and safe practices.
  • Manage and execute the procedures and processes, review and recommend for improvement and compliance with latest requirements, sensitive to the changes of diverse operating environment in line with TLPT policies and guidelines, regulatory requirements and the practice of good work ethics and culture amongst staff and contractors to ensure a highperformance standard and operational excellence.
  • Manage, motivate and coaching of all Marine staff to achieve high standards, promote team cohesion and encourage each staff to develop, train and strive to meet their individual potential as KPI target.

Job Requirement

  • Degree in Marine, Port and Terminal operations, Naval Architecture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other professional/ marine related qualification.

Pay:
RM6, RM14,050.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • Port Management and
Container Terminal Operation: 6 years (preferred)

Language:

  • English (preferred)
