The Electrical Engineer will be daily managing the vessels assigned to him.

He will responsible for electrical of the vessels and Safe, Efficient and Economical are key words for the Electrical Engineer to provide an optimal availability and reliability of the vessels.


  • Maintain filling and Monitor all maintenance reports for electrical equipment from vessels.
Verify with the vessel of any abnormalities noted and report to Technical Manager, Senior and Technical Superintendent for further action.
  • Review & improve on ship's specific maintenance / testing plan with consultation from TECD.
  • To carry periodic inspections on board vessels to verify on maintenance plan & access conditions of electrical & alarm system.
  • To conduct on board familiarization and training for all Electricians onboard.
Also to conduct performance assessments for Electricians & report to Head of TECD & MNND for further action.
  • Plan & monitor repair of electrical equipment ashore and update TM, Senior/Technical.
Superintendent on progress.
  • Assist TM, Senior/Technical Superintendent to trouble shoot electrical problems on board and Investigate causes of failure of electrical equipment onboard & report to TM or Senior/Technical Superintendent with proposal for preventive / corrective measures.
  • Scrutinize all invoices relating to electrical repairs & present to TM or Senior / Technical Superintendent for verification.
Clarify with relevant parties on any discrepancies and report to TM or Senior/Technical Superintendent for further action.
  • Assist TM or Senior/Technical Superintendent to monitor & control repair costs & budget relating to electrical system onboard.
