To support the growth in Manufacturing, we have a fantastic opportunity for Technician - Manufacturing Support to work in Cochlear Malaysia.

In this role, you will be responsible to provides solutions to identified production problems and able identifies opportunities for safety, quality and cost improvements on the Manufacturing lines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Day to day tasks within established procedures and processes under limited supervision.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal customers (Production, warehouse, procurement, NPI Maintenance personnel different sites) and external equipment vendors to ensure timely performance of duties.
  • To complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner
  • Troubleshooting and faultfinding in yield improvement
  • Work with Engineering team to assist on new tools introduction and production relayout.
  • Ensure that manufacturing equipment and facilities are compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work effectively with Engineer in process improvement activity in manufacturing or service & repair environment.
  • Immediately reporting all incidents, accidents, hazards or unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Ensure safety, 5S, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in preferably in a highly regulated Medical Device or GMP manufacturing site.
  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Technical or Manufacturing qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with engineer in process improvement activity in manufacturing or service & repair environment.
  • Good understanding of GMP.
  • Demonstrate strong trouble shooting and data collecting methodology.
  • Demonstrated strong management skills on liaising with internal stake holders and external contractors to ensure timely performance of duties.
  • Exposure to a highly regulated environment working within a QMS framework
  • ISO13485, FDA CFR 21 Quality Systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic circuit diagrams and follow QMS procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills in reviewing and identifying key actions to deliver continuous improvements is a MUST for this role.
  • Good interpersonal skills and written communication in English.
