Role Overview:

As a Student Bursary Officer, your role is to administer and manage the disbursement of financial aid, scholarships, and bursaries to eligible students.

You will work closely with students, parents, financial aid teams, and various departments to ensure that financial support is provided efficiently and accurately, enabling students to pursue their education with financial assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Eligibility Verification:

Verify student eligibility for bursaries based on predetermined criteria such as financial need, academic performance, extracurricular activities, and other relevant factors.

Disbursement:

Coordinate the disbursement of bursary funds to eligible students, ensuring that funds are distributed in a timely and efficient manner.

Financial Counseling:
Provide guidance to students on financial matters, including budgeting, loan repayment, and resources available for additional financial support.

Reporting:
Generate reports on bursary allocations, disbursements, and student demographics for internal reporting and compliance purposes.

Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines when administering financial aid programs.

Support Services:
Collaborate with other departments, such as student services and academic advising, to offer comprehensive support to bursary recipients.

Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma in finance, education, business administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge of financial aid programs, scholarships, and bursaries

Familiarity with financial management systems and databases

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment

Understanding of educational regulations and compliance standards related to financial aid

Salary:
RM1, RM2,500.00 per month
