Ab Initio Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title:
AB Initio Production Support

Job Purpose:

Ab Initio support role with a reporting line to the Technical Lead as part of the Data and Information department reporting structure.

Key Responsibilities:
Support during code migration from lower environments to higher environments.

Escalate the tickets to respective teams in the event of job failures or any environment issues and get it fix as earlier.

Scheduling the jobs using as per the decision management guidelines.
Check and upgrade the server related bundle keys by requesting them from vendor.
Verifying the servers, (DEV/UAT/PROD) health check on daily basis and take the appropriate actions to fix bugs if any.
Support during server patching or hardening activity and identify the issues if any.
Intimate the downtime notifications to downstream teams and get the approvals from respective management.
Maintain the audit logs and tracking documents and record every activity performed on DEV/UAT/PROD servers.
Maintain the project level support documents as per the company standards.
Liaise with other team members in

order to complete the assigned task.
Ensure compliance to IT standards, SDLC standards, policies and procedures.

Job Specification:

Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc.):
A recognized diploma/degree in Computer Science/Information Systems ot its equivalent.

Relevant Work Experience:
Experience on support and development preferably using ETL tools (i.e, Ab Initio, Talend, Informatica).
Should have good command knowledge on UNIX shell scripting.
Good understanding knowledge on ETL coding.
Familiar with database SQL statement such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL and other relational database command

Required Competencies and Skills:

Technical/Functional skills:
Familiarity with any of the databases - IBM DB2, Oracle and MSSQL.

Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership]):
Good analytical, technical, written and communication skills
Ability to work as a team.
Ability to work under pressure.
Highly result oriented and can work independently.
Willing to work on shifts
Willing to take up support over weekend and public holidays on rotation basis with team members.
