About You

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the value of our data. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining platform capabilities, making data accessible, and collaborating closely with stakeholders. You'll ensure data availability, performance, and accessibility by selecting the right technology for the task.

What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to contribute to the development of our data platform and our engineering infrastructure.

You will be accountable for developing and maintaining platform capabilities. Furthermore, you will:

  • Build and maintain data infrastructure and data-intensive applications.
  • Make data available, accessible, and performant for the business.
  • Collaborate with other technology teams and the business.
  • Support operations with data infrastructure deployment and configuration.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure the availability and performance of our systems.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment.

What You Will Need

  • 5+ years of experience as a Platform, DevOpsor Cloud Engineer in a professional environment.
  • You are an experienced AWS (Networking IAM, S3) and Terraform user.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, (R)DBMS, Databricks, message queues, BI tooling, ETL tooling, Node-JS and event-sourcing are a big plus
  • You are inquisitive, proactive, and comfortable in an informal yet professional environment that offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
  • You thrive in cross-cultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of other languages is a valuable asset.
  • You are a resident of Malaysia.
  • You possess a valid work permit for Malaysia.

Where is the Position Located

This role is based in our newly established office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our Malaysia office specializes in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Analysis. You will collaborate with talented tech colleagues.
