Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and production of menu items as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Follow standard recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in food quality.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage of ingredients and cleaning of equipment.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, such as mise en place, prep work, and assembly of dishes.
Support the Chef de Partie in ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen and prompt service at all times.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of raw and cooked food products.
Guarantee the safety and proper utilization of kitchen equipment, tools, and machinery.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and freshness of ingredients.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods.

Aid in the management of inventory, which involves tasks such as maintaining proper stock rotation and meticulously recording inventory quantities.

Performs other related duties/ tasks as assigned by superior/ management.

Requirements:
Must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Culinary Arts or other related disciplines.
Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Commis or other related roles.
Proficient in cooking techniques, knife skills, and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
Strong understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
Strong organizational skills to manage the station efficiently and keep track of inventory.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices, including HACCP guidelines.
Ability to cope with a fast-paced working environment.
Excellent teamwork and outgoing personality, with good customer service skills.
Willing to work on early shift, closing shift, weekends & public holidays.
Possess own transport and willing to travel.
