Document and investigate workplace accidents, recommend improvements, ensure corrective measures are implemented, and execute adequate steps to prevent reoccurrence.

Carry out risk assessments and safety & health audits, reaudits to ensure that corrective actions have been taken and review risk assessments regularly.

Maintain the Hospital Risk Register for environment and employee safety and accurate records of all safety-related meetings and inspections.

Compile evidence and report to DOSH or DOE and any agencies that are required and assist the authorities in work-related investigations.

Conduct safety training, demonstrate the use of safety equipment, promote safety work culture programs, and conduct staff health surveillance especially for staff involved in high occupational hazards.

Lead incident investigations for workplace injuries and accidents.

Coordinate activities in the Safety & Health Committee to ensure the Hospital is in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act 1944 and Malaysian Standard in Quality & Health (MSQH).Liaise with the Hospital Services Planning team on the design for safety and work activities within construction sites, including the review of risk assessments.

Work on strategies and action plans that are based on facts, knowledge of HF policies and procedures, and understanding of priorities.
