Legal Officer Location: Kuala Lumpur Description Overview: The Junior Legal Officer will be an integral part of the Legal & Compliance Department at Rosen Group. This role involves ensuring the company's compliance with national and international laws and regulations, developing internal policies, and providing legal support across various departments. The Junior Legal Officer will assist in negotiating agreements, managing legal risks, and providing legal advice to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Support:Assist in providing legal support to Rosen Group units globally on various complex legal topics including contract law, corporate law, and insurance law.
  • Aid in providing legal advice on a wide range of issues and legal requests from different departments.
  • Contract Management:Support in handling negotiations with clients and drafting, reviewing, and executing agreements and other legal documents, both non-standard and standard.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:Assist in keeping abreast of legislative changes that may impact Rosen Group and its potential new businesses.Contribute to assessing risk management strategies and ensuring legal objectives within interdisciplinary projects.
  • Deadline Management:Assist in advising on contract status and ensuring compliance with legal deadlines.
  • Legal Operations:Assist in executing legal activities in accordance with company expectations, guidelines, processes, policies, and laws.Support in performing pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights, liaising with external counsel as necessary.
  • Training and Development:Assist in providing training to respective units on substantive legal topics to enhance overall legal awareness within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field; additional certifications or qualifications are a plus.
  • 1-2 years working experience in related field.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents
