This role is for a skilled Videographer + Video Editor to join our team at KL Holiao, focusing on creating engaging content for our Malaysian food and travel audience. As a Videographer + Video Editor, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality videos and photographs that showcase the diverse food offerings and travel destinations across Malaysia.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative skills in both videography and photography. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing high-quality content, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for food, travel, and Malaysian culture.

  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality videos and photographs that highlight the diverse and delectable food offerings and captivating travel destinations across Malaysia.
  • Storytelling: Conceptualize and develop captivating narratives through visuals, bringing the unique stories of local food and travel experiences to life.
  • Videography: Operate professional-grade video equipment, including cameras, lenses, and lighting, to capture footage that meets our creative standards.
  • Photography: Capture stunning photographs that showcase the beauty of Malaysian cuisine and travel destinations.
  • Editing and Post-production: Edit and enhance video footage and photographs using industry-standard software.
  • Collaborations: Work closely with the social media team to align video and photography content with overall marketing and branding strategies.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and keep all video and photography equipment in excellent working condition.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay up to date with current trends and emerging techniques in videography and photography.
  • Content Optimization: Optimize video and photograph files for different social media platforms.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Videographer + Photographer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative skills in both videography and photography.
  • Proficiency in operating professional-grade video equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Expertise in video editing software and photo editing software.
  • Solid understanding of composition, lighting, color, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within specified timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
  • A passion for food, travel, and Malaysian culture, with knowledge of local cuisine and popular travel destinations.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality content, working closely with the social media team, and maintaining and keeping all video and photography equipment in excellent working condition.

Requirements
  • Experience: Proven track record as a videographer and photographer, with a focus on food-related content.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating professional-grade video equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Creative Eye: Excellent sense of composition, lighting, color, and visual storytelling.
  • Storyboarding Skills: Strong ability to develop and execute creative storyboards that effectively convey food narratives and enhance the overall visual experience.
  • Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with various social media platforms, their formats, and best practices for optimizing video and photo content.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail when capturing food and creating content.
  • Time Management: Efficient work style with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members, influencers, and food establishments.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to different environments, lighting conditions, and locations.
  • Grammar and Storyboarding Skills: Strong grammar skills for creating compelling captions and descriptions for social media posts.
