Job Description

Job Overview

Leads the development and execution of experimentation and testing with the product team to enable characterization, optimization, and troubleshooting of key processes and equipment under the remanufacturing division.

Leads the new product improvement, validation, and customer usage models process for IT manufacturing product.

Key Responsibilities
  • NPI
    • Support applied microelectronics and industrialization scope area with IT product launch activities, equipment design validation and commissioning, and timing and resource
    • Responsible for coordinating and assisting managers in managing new product introduction for notebook, desktops, monitors, thin clients & workstation models
    • Working with management and stakeholders to handle schedule activities, coordinate between teams, follow standards for quality control, and ensure the success of the new product via roadmap trends and analyze it to determine the timeliness of new technology adoption.
    • Identify from Procurement and suppliers what are the incoming models and study if Assist in roadmap generation for product and technology based on info above.
    • Research new methods/technologies; could they be applied to new and current products.
    • Create awareness for sales, management, production of these new products and technologies through knowledge & material trainings
    • Be responsible to author and keep SIP (Support Implementation Plans) for new IT products and get the buy-in of all stakeholders via signing of SIP
    • Create proper documentation to detail all the above
    • Conduct product training for internal and external stakeholders
    • Work on short-term technical projects collaboratively with sales and/or marketing when required and applicable
  • Validation and Customer Usage Models
    • Work with sales to visit customers when required and applicable
    • Evaluate customer's usage models and software/hardware profiles
    • Use the information to provide feedback to the factory for improvements or implementation
    • Perform validation for parts such as memory, SSD, graphics cards, CPU, LCD, battery, etc.
    • Document these regularly
  • Post Implementation Audit
    • Work with focus group to ascertain the quality e.g. lifespan, robustness, wear and tear factors and other vectors for sampling or survey feedback for improvements or implementation related to product health.
    • Document these regularly
    • Performs duties as advised by Management of TS/MIS/NPI.
Job Requirements

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Technology Management, Technopreneurship, etc.) from an accredited institution. (CGPA > 3 is preferable)

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in NPI/New Product Development and/or manufacturing experience OR having served an internship in the same capacity of the current offered role;
  • Proven experience in working in cross-functional project teams. Ideally Project Management and Product Management involvement experience;
  • Proven experience in process and equipment validation techniques, Process FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and associated regulatory requirements and application to validation of equipment and processes. (Preferred)
  • Have experience in benchmarking, stress testing, torture test, tools, methodology, customization of components as well as PC assembly for endpoint computing (Preferred)
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
