The position involves:

  • Defining, analyzing, and generating possible solutions to identify the optimal solution.
  • Communicating the software characteristics, features, and structures to various key stakeholders.
  • Defining development features, phases, technology requirements, and solutions.
  • Designing, developing, and delivering solutions with specifications.

The role necessitates strong leadership, solutioning skills, and compelling communication abilities to successfully align technology solutions with business needs. Collaborate at both high and low levels with team members and key stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

  • Evaluating existing system architectures and collaborating with technical experts to develop high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions based on business and technical requirements.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of identified solutions and effective management of budget/resources.
  • Promoting collaboration across teams comprising network, storage, compute, and security.
  • Leading the planning, design, and implementation of Future State Architecture (FSA) encompassing a variety of tools and services.
  • Driving the strategic planning and execution of multi-year phased services migration to FSA with minimal downtime.
  • Staying updated on emerging systems and technologies to identify adoption opportunities enhancing agility and reinforcing the foundation for swift business strategy execution.
  • Enhancing systems monitoring capability covering capacity, response, and service degradation.
  • Establishing and maintaining precise records of current and historical system settings and configuration decision rationale.
  • Instilling best practices, operational discipline, and guidelines across the systems team.
  • Participating in projects related to Systems Architecture & Design.
  • Assisting others in communication by asking clarifying questions or providing additional context.
  • Advocating for application designs and frameworks supporting high performance for real-time payment transactions.
  • Overseeing application re-engineering to eliminate legacy constraints and bottlenecks for projected business growth.
  • Understanding the business objective of stories and allocating effort accordingly.
  • Using probing questions to uncover user goals behind features and ensuring work aligns with the benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications & Professional Certification (If applicable)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience in the IT banking and Telecommunications sector is advantageous.

Work Experience

  • 9 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a high-pressured System Integrator Environment.
  • Relevant experience in Financial Services and/or Technology sectors is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and quality-oriented.
  • Strategic planning, organizational skills, effective interpersonal communication, and project management abilities.
