Our client is seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our team for an FPSO project in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will work on the EPC phase of the project, contributing to the design and layout of piping systems. This role requires expertise in piping design within the energy sector, particularly in FPSO projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop detailed piping design drawings and layouts for FPSO projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and other designers to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and ensure accurate designs.
- Utilize CAD software to create and modify piping diagrams and schematics.
- Review and verify design documents to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of material specifications and requisitions.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated and efficient designs.
- Participate in design reviews and address any design-related issues or concerns.
- Provide support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs and resolving design-related problems.
- Ensure all designs are completed within the project schedule and budget.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in piping design, with a focus on FPSO projects.
- Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of piping materials, standards, and codes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be Malaysian or eligible to work in Malaysia.
