The Paralegal for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing administrative support, project management, data management, sustaining and maintaining technology systems for APAC Diagnostics Legal Department.

This position is part of the APAC Diagnostics Legal Department located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia and will be onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supporting counsels in APAC region on operational and administrative tasks as and when assigned
  • Manage projects to meet timeline
  • Assist in data entry and uploading documents to legal systems
  • Organizing, maintaining and managing documents, templates, legal data, including the creation of spreadsheets and retrieval systems
  • Acting as a coordinator between the legal department and other business units in the APAC region
  • Compiling information and, preparing statistics, reports, charts, graphs and other summaries as and when requested
  • Legal champion/representative and driver for Legal system from development to launch and ongoing co-owner for sustainment.
  • Assist in corporate governance and company secretarial matters by working with external Company Secretaries in APAC. Arrange for signatures, notarization and/or legalization, as applicable; coordinate appointment and removal of all corporate officers and directors.
  • Process and manage legal invoices and expenses

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Certificate/diploma and above with 5+ prior years of experience in legal work or assisting law firm Partner or Legal Department with 5+ years of experience.
  • Technology savvy -Miro board, Agiloft, Microsoft Team, Legal Tracker etc with at least 5+ years of experience
  • MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and the Internet. Candidates should possess a strong computer software background and be comfortable gaining proficiency quickly as the department utilizes various third-party software applications.
  • Ability to draw charts such as flow charts, organization charts, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prior experience in assisting law firm Partners a plus
  • Prior experience in handling legal IT tools/systems
