Cloud Technical Consultant

This role is designed as a hybrid position, requiring you to work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

As a Cloud Technical Consultant, you will provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. You will be responsible for providing technical support and leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers' business needs.

  • Provide technical support and leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Understand customers' businesses and create effective customer relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge.
  • Contribute to the company's solutions portfolio by providing technical knowledge and methodologies.
  • Shape technical direction and strategies within the organization and for external customers.

As a VMware Architect, you will work on projects delivering technical value and expertise to HPE's large customer base. You will have the opportunity to lead and/or take part in the design and delivery of technology solutions tailored to meet customers' needs.

  • Lead and/or take part in the design and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Directly support customers on technical challenges, expanding your own technical knowledge.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on implementation of complex virtualization projects.
  • Responsible for solution documentation, such as User Requirement Document, Design/Technical Document, Test Cases/Plan, Handover Checklist, Migration Strategy and Plan, etc.
  • Provide input and assessment during pre-sales solution phase, converting HLD to LLD for implementation.
  • Provide technical leadership in the assigned project, managing technical deliverable & feasibility of the end-to-end solution.
  • Identify, assess and resolve complex issues and/or production limitation and provides alternative scenarios or solutions.

Technical skills required:

  • Subject matter expert on the hybrid cloud solution.
  • Demonstrable technical expertise in Designing, Architecting & Deploying VMware solutions.
  • Develop architectural design document based on existing sample or new requirement.
  • 4 to 5 solutions experience with large virtualization implementations and migrating solutions.
  • Good troubleshooting knowledge of VMware technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years in Consultancy, Architecting, Design and Deployment of virtualization environment.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years primary experience in Architecting, designing and deploying virtualization solutions.
