Your Role:

To lead and develop our EAL provision, providing specialist teaching and support to students with English as an additional language, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.

  1. Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive EAL curriculum that caters to students of varying English proficiency levels.
  2. Assessment and Reporting: Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and report on their achievement and areas for development.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with other teaching staff to support students' language development across the curriculum.
  4. Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to other staff members on EAL teaching strategies.
  5. Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents of EAL students, involving them in their child's learning and progress.
  6. Joining our projects team to help plan and deliver an exciting range of multidisciplinary project–based modules.
  7. Engaging with in our 'Spectra SMARTs' Human Intelligences framework to ensure that your subject, project and pastoral commitments help our learners develop the competencies they need to be 'Future-Ready'.
  8. Leading extracurricular activities and playing a vital role in house activities.

    Requirements:

    ·Minimum 3 years of A-Level teaching experience with excellent results.

    ·A teaching qualification and a degree in EAL, or a related field.

    ·A genuine passion for progressive, student-centered pedagogy.

    ·An enthusiastic approach to incorporating social enterprise and service learning in education.

    ·Candidates with experience in project-based learning are highly encouraged to apply.
