Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international commodities group looking to strengthen their Asian trading team with a steel raw materials trader.

Key Responsibilities / TasksThird party trading of steel raw materials; manganese, chrome, ferroalloys, iron ore, coal etc.

Utilize your market knowledge, negotiation skills, and industry connections to secure profitable deals and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients.

Conduct thorough research on the global steel industry, including market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and price fluctuations for raw materials.

Source and identify potential suppliers and buyers for steel raw materials.
Assess and manage risks associated with steel raw materials trading, such as credit risks, market volatility, and supply disruptions.

Key Qualifications / Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading either; manganese, chrome, ferroalloys, iron ore or coal etc.

Transferable trade book with clients across the raw material supply chain.
Demonstrable knowledge of the global steel markets and raw materials supply chains.
Proficiency in risk management and a strategic approach to trading activities.
Based in Singapore.
