Job Description Role The Tester conducts User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of features developed on various digital platforms (Web and Mobile) and performs quality assurance to ensure that the solution meets the functional requirements and quality specified in the Business requirements documents (user interface, interactions, business logics etc.), through manual and automated testing.

The Tester may also assist in operations of the Live environment to ensure that the digital platforms provide optimal customer experience, ie.spotting UX, functional or technical issues with the online journeys, and liaising with the relevant stakeholders to fix these issues (Product Owner, Analytics, UX, IS...), performing regression testing and performance measurement etc.

Responsibilities As a part of Digital team, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Study user requirements / user stories, acceptance criteria, and software requirement specification.
  • Attend Requirements and Information Architecture review sessions when necessary.
  • Identify interdependencies, ambiguities in documentation and make suggestions to improve requirements and optimize usability
  • Create test plan; define testing method, exit criteria, measurement and review with stakeholders. Able to translate acceptance criteria defined by PO into test cases covering positive and negative scenarios
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for the testing phase, such as test coverage, defect densities, mean time to resolution, etc., to measure and enhance the testing process's effectiveness.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date test documentation and providing training to other teams about the testing processes and tools used, enhancing the overall testing capability of the organization.
  • Draft & review test scenarios with stakeholders
  • Execute and validate test cases in end-to-end testing in relation to functional operation and UI elements, report on test results within specified timeframe and ensure that results are documented correctly for sign-off.
  • Report on Defects, ensure traceability of defects, and discuss issues with developers
  • Assess readiness for project deployment recommendation based on test results
  • Perform "live " or post deployment validation when required Qualifications Preferably at least 3 years related experience in IT/software testing Strong knowledge and experience of standard software development life cycle processes. Extensive knowledge and experience of testing techniques (unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, load testing, automation test...). Able to multi-task and test different applications relating to a release Familiarity of SCRUM/Agile methodologies and regression testing is a plus Experience in retail/customer service web/application testing is an advantage Excellent command of English typos/grammar mistakes) Eagle eye for details and proactive mindset to find loopholes and report gaps that are not necessarily documented or envisioned in test scenarios Good time management skills and willing to work with tight deadlines (willing to put in additional time whenever required) Good analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and positive attitude Confident, innovative, independent as well as a team player
