About The Role

This role will be based in Labuan to provide finance support to group finance and business functions including construction, operations, and regional functions.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Handling & coordinating annual audits and conducting analysis of financial reports and support as needed
  2. Assist in the month end closing and management of accounts
  3. Manage and resolve Purchase to Payment process (finance related issue)
  4. Ensure compliance with tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, and advising management on required actions
  5. Assist the Global Tax Team on any tax matters in relation to indirect tax reconciliation etc.
  6. Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data
  7. Assist in all regulatory and local statutory filings
  8. Assist in projects and ad-hoc assignments

Qualifications And Experience

  1. Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CA)
  2. Minimum 6 years of working experience in the accounting and finance function at high-growth companies
  3. Prior experience in Big 4 audit firm is an advantage
  4. Experienced in full set of accounts
  5. Experienced in handling of audit and taxes (GST/WHT etc)
  6. Tax Experience Is Preferred
  7. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  8. Strong quality control bias, problem solver
  9. A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
