PIT Scientist

An opportunity exists for PIT Scientist to join our team in Kuantan.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in research organisation to lead the process development activities for synthesis related projects and provide technical support to synthesis industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the feasibility of each project including cost benefit (NPV), impact to CO2 emissions, impact to residue generation.
• Management of project schedule, costs, deliverables and reporting
• Define the best process to produce the targeted products, functional description and critical operating parameters.
• Define and lead the trials (in laboratory or pilot) needed to reach the required level of characterization of the new process.

Requirements of the successful candidate:

• Postgraduate/Master of Engineering (Hydrometallurgy/ Chemical) or other related qualification with minimum 5 years' experience in chemical processing related discipline or in inorganic chemistry and/or materials science (e.g. nanotechnology or metallurgy)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to confidently interact with people of all cultures at all levels.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Additional language will be an advantage.
• Must be willing to work in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.
