  • Behavior Management: Establishes and enforces behavior rules and maintains a conducive learning environment for all students.
  • Communication: Maintains open communication through conferences with parents, students, therapists, and teachers.
  • Professionalism: Maintains professional relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Discipline: Capable of maintaining discipline and building rapport with handicapped children.
  • Team Collaboration: Schedules and participates in team meetings, collaborating with child study team members for instructional goals.
  • Service Coordination: Coordinates special education service delivery within each student's EIP and AIP.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provides crisis intervention for students and inclusive classrooms as needed.
  • Professional Development: Maintains professional competence through staff development, curriculum meetings, and other opportunities.
  • Evaluations: Conducts special education evaluations and reevaluations.
