Group accountant

Join our team as a Financial Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and financial management skills. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial transactions, managing timely closing of monthly accounts, and analyzing financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with Professional Qualification and a member of MIA (Malaysia Institute of Accountants)
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Accountant/Finance Manager in an audit firm
• Experience in manufacturing and trading industry is an added advantage
• Proficient in Accounting Standards (MFRS) and taxation law
• Proficiency in financial software and tools; experience with ERP system is an asset
• Excellent leadership skills, detail-orientated, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• In-depth knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality

• Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and general ledger entries
• Manage timely closing of monthly accounts and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance
• Assist in the preparation of budget, forecast, management assessment and analysis
• Supervise the account team and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents, government authorities, bankers and others
• Prepare year-end financial report, income and deferred tax calculation and quarterly consolidated accounts
