The Role:
  • To perform product requirement study, product and claims formula set-up in PF for GELS new product rollout, new funds or regulatory changes.
  • To set-up policy illustration formula in PF for Point of Sale/NextGen.
  • To set-up rates and rates table structure in PF.
  • To perform unit testing of formula and rates besides developing checking program.
  • To prepare formula mapping and rates table structure documentation.
  • To work with Product Implementation and IT-PF support team in developing new formula or parameter in PF.
  • To enhance system functionality of PF from time to time in relation to product formula set-up.
  • To provide actuarial support for management and operational issues related to formula set-up in PF.
  • To support implementation of any PF Day2 requirements of existing products.
  • To provide support in regional governance of formula and rates table structure in PF.
  • To provide support in implementing regional processes in Malaysia and Indonesia.
  • To provide support in PF set-up for new product rollout in Malaysia and Indonesia as and when required.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practice.
  • Other responsibilities entailed.
The Person:
  • Possessed a recognized Tertiary in Statistics / Maths / Actuarial Studies Professional
  • Minimum 2 years actuarial related experience
  • Passed some actuarial exams in Faculty of Actuaries, Scotland / Institute of Actuaries, England / Institute of Actuaries, Australia / Society of Actuaries, US.
  • Professional actuarial standards and code of conduct
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal
  • Computer skills - SQL, Macro, Visual Basic, Excel, Words etc
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
