Financial Advisory Services Associate/ Senior

We are looking for highly motivated and independent professionals to be part of our Financial Advisory team supporting Mazars in Singapore. The Associate/Senior role is crucial for managing tasks in financial advisory projects. You'll have the chance to work on Valuation, Transactions, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Forensics & Investigations projects. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Roles & Responsibilities

Valuations

  • Conduct market and industry research.
  • Create financial models for valuing private companies.
  • Assess and value intangible assets for financial purposes.
  • Review financial projections against benchmarks.
  • Prepare valuation reports following International Valuation Standards.

Execution of financial due diligence and other transaction-related tasks.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and assess target valuation.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses for transaction assessments.
  • Organize meetings with clients, targets, and advisors.
  • Assist in report preparation for due diligence or post-transaction assignments.

Restructuring & Insolvency

  • Analyze historical financial performance and cash flows.
  • Review financial statements and business performance.
  • Develop financial restructuring plans.
  • Prepare documentation for asset sales.
  • Research legal entity structures.
  • Assist in client communications during restructuring.
  • Support team in judicial management and liquidations.
  • Develop proposals for arrangements.
  • Manage relationships to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business, or Finance.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Financial due diligence, Valuation, Corporate restructuring, or Audit.
  • Understanding of financial reporting standards.
  • Interest in finance or pursuing a CFA, CVA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation and report writing abilities.
  • Familiarity with research tools like S&P CIQ, Mergermarket, and Refinitiv.
