Accountant II - Inventory & Costing Position Summary This position is responsible for the Cost Accounting & Inventory of our Malaysia operations and report into the plant controller in Malaysia.

Responsibilities Support plant operation which require a good understanding of the nature of the business and products in order to execute daily activities effectively Responsible for prompt and accurate recording of financial activities & month-end close process consistent with corporate policies, GAAP and local statutory requirements Responsible for procedures and policies for cost accounting and inventory.

Support inventory control such as cycle count and annual physical inventory count:
Partnering with operations, product groups, planning, Inventory team and logistics on inventory management, planning, procurement, and cost optimization.

Responsible for prompt and accurate recording of inventory related activities such as E&O analysis, scrap analysis, write-off, inventory revaluation, month-end close process..

to be consistent with corporate policies, GAAP and local statutory requirements. Participating in daily MRB Inventory Review and Reporting Prepare and record GL journal entries. Accounts reconciliation and analysis.

Liaise with auditors & tax agent and support on scrap and inventory write-off queries Support on Global Output/Inventory related reporting and analysis.

Support all financial initiatives to drive growth and compliance from time to time.

Timely monthly financial reporting and KPI indicators to support Operations Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5 S policies and general duty of care Prior Experience With An Integrated ERP System – SAP Preferred.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite at moderate to high-level of proficiency.

Fluency in English QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to perform accounts reconciliation. Willingness to learn and ability to meet deadlines. Action orientated. Results focused. Proactive and highly adaptable. Ability to manage change sensitively and in a collaborative manner. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Possess an analytical mindset, ability to recognize issues within process while considering functional inter-dependencies, and propose solutions. Proven communications skills with internal and external stakeholders. Strong team-player with experience working in a dynamic organization and demonstrated ability to build bridges between stakeholders. Demonstrate agility and flexibility to maneuver ad hoc tasks/projects/challenges. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite at moderate to high-level of proficiency. Fluency in English & Malay. Minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting experience in Inventory areas in multi-national corporation within a manufacturing environment. Possess knowledge of SOX, US GAAP and Malaysia FRS. Previous financial accounting / compliance experience in a high tech or global company. Prior Experience With An Integrated ERP System – SAP Preferred.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
