Commodity specialist

The Commodity Specialist will be responsible for sourcing excellence and identifying cost reduction opportunities with a strategic mindset and approach. This role offers high visibility and tremendous growth potential within In-Direct Procurement, focusing on global commodities alongside key stakeholders, including top-level company executives.

• Participates in collaboration with various functional areas to organize sourcing events, determine sourcing event structure, select suppliers, and set event outcome criteria
• Coordinates activities across different departments such as Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal, and Manufacturing
• Assists in the ongoing development of the Procurement function towards implementing best practices
• Responsible for achieving corporate-aligned procurement objectives that support the overall strategic vision of the company

Experience / Qualifications:

• A university degree (e.g., Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must thrive as a team player in a dynamic work environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Effective organization, planning, and time management capabilities
• Strong personal and professional integrity and ethical values
• Accountable for delivering on goals and maintaining high standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
