Job Summary:

This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for a multinational company.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and review month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Consolidate and review monthly and quarterly P&L matrices, balance sheets, and inventory comments for submission to the global consolidation team.
  • Prepare monthly P&L by country, business unit, etc.
  • Provide support to business units for their periodic reporting, reviews, and analysis.
  • Prepare presentations for updates on periodic business financial performance.
  • Ensure and continuously improve accounting structures and systems to enable appropriate financial reporting standards.
  • Prepare consolidated management reports for Malaysia.
  • Evaluate, update, and ensure compliance with all corporate finance policies and processes in Malaysia.
  • Manage accounting analysts to ensure daily accounting operations are completed timely and accurately.
  • Lead corporate-driven projects and initiatives to be rolled down to Malaysia.
  • Support the Singapore Go Direct Close process.
  • Manage flash forecasting, quarterly forecasting, AOP, and strategic planning submission processes.
  • Independently handle corporate tax forecasts and adjustments, and quarterly corporate submissions.
  • Independently handle monthly forecast working and submissions to support SEA, mainly for Malaysia, including full P&L, quarterly balance sheets, and inventory.
  • Assist with annual operating plan processes, variance analysis, and internal audit/SOX/statutory audit/income tax/ACRA filing administration.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned by the finance director.

Requirements:

  • Degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • At least 5-8 years of relevant post-qualification work experience.
  • Good working knowledge and experience in full-spectrum accounts payable processes.
  • Strong proficiency in JDE systems is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (in particular Excel) is preferred.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Meticulous with attention to details and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
