Taxation Associate

We are seeking individuals our are passionate and highly motivated to building a career in the taxation field, with a view of eventually being a professional tax agent/ tax litigator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our clients complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, mainly the Income Tax Act 1967, including Companies, Individuals and other organizations.

The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a keen interest in taxation law and procedures.

• Ensuring compliance with tax law and other relevant regulations.
• Preparation of tax returns and correspondence with LHDN.
• Documentation of tax treatment within the tax computation.
• Client communication, being the central point of contact for tax related matters with clients.
• Tax audit and investigation support, including compilation of relevant records and supporting documents and drafting responses.
• Team collaboration - Collaborate with the audit team on obtaining supporting documentation during fieldwork.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Intention to pursue relevant professional qualifications, such as CTIM/ Tax Agent License.
• Knowledge of tax law, regulations and filing procedures.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to research and interpret complex tax issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax calculations and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
