Job Description

Job Overview:

The job entails you to be a key stakeholder and team player in the New Product Introduction / Initiation (NPI) team. In essence involved the phases' activities of ideation, research, planning, prototyping, sourcing, costing, mass production and continuous improvement process & innovation specifically referring to the manufacturing and launching new products with commercialization.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Works within the purview of the R&D and NPI team to conduct failure analysis (FA) on remanufactured IT equipment.
  • Responsible for product failure analysis in support of manufacturing needs and customer returns.
  • Works to support clients and users of remanufactured IT equipment within their usage environment.
  • Develops the FA process and defines the FA scope for each FA case type.
  • Provide detailed failure analysis report with root cause define, corrective action and preventive action on the production failures/design improvements.
  • Works with the Production and Quality Assurance team in improving the remanufacturing process.
Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An Advanced Diploma in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic) or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor degree or beyond is an advantage.

Experience

  • A minimum 2 years of Failure Analysis experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Preferable with working experience in the Mechanical / Manufacturing / IT hardware sectors.
  • Exposure or experience to Lean sigma or ISO or equivalent TQM standards is an advantage.
  • Understand computer product test process and methodology including motherboard.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player.
