Purpose Statement

This position will cover all activities related to receiving, warehousing, cycle count, issuance, shipping, Customs/trade compliance, and physical distribution of material.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Direct activities related to material receiving, storing, cycle counting, issuing, dispatching, routing, tracking transportation, and delivery in a timely and error-free manner in accordance with approved procedures.
  2. Plan, organize, and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
  3. Ensure a high degree of inventory integrity and accuracy.
  4. Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer (internal and external) or shipper complaints and establish preventive measures.
  5. Obtain Customs and relevant authorities' approval for the importation and exportation of goods and utilize any applicable free trade agreement.
  6. Manage the performance of logistics service providers.
  7. Control and monitor freight costs and service levels.
  8. Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  9. Generate accurate and timely measurable reports and metrics as required by management and authorities, e.g., Customs.
  10. Consistently look for continuous improvement in the accuracy and productivity of the process.
  11. Ensure employees are trained and certified in carrying out their duties and that training is documented.
  12. Ensure all activities comply with ethical standards and the internal Quality Management System.
