- ProfitLink Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. is newly setup based at Kota Damansara, Selangor and backed by IMKSUN China (https://www.imksun.com). We are a leading company in design, build, assembly of equipment, robotics, and solution provider for factory automation.

- We are looking for a creative Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Designer team; training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems, components, and products.
  2. Conceptual Design and Development:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
  • Create initial design concepts and sketches for mechanical systems or products.
  • Use design thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions.
Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget.Develop project requirements/specifications from sales concepts and customer requests.Present and review mechanical system designs to customer representatives.Detailed Design and Modeling:
  • Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or Fusion 360) to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Ensure designs meet functional, performance, and safety requirements.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Develop Design FMEA and Process FMEAs for machines and solutions to minimize project risks.Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team and external suppliers to ensure proper machine assembly and functionality.Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.Analyze project requirements, develop solutions, and perform technical calculations supporting design. Solutions shall consider machine performance, project timing, and project budget before implementation.Create accurate Bills of Material documentation, tracking project actual vs. budget cost.Assist in the bring-up of machines using statistical analysis to effectively identify issues, determine root causes, and quickly develop resolutions.Provide hands-on assembly assistance and precise measurement techniques to collect data and identify root causes of machine issues.

Project Execution:

  1. Oversee project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of projects, expected quality, and allotted budget.
  2. Support manufacture, build, and validation of systems.
  3. Utilize statistical methods for validation of systems.
  4. Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standards.
  5. Commission customized products and systems onsite and at customer facilities.

Job Requirements and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Preferably with 5 years of solid working experience in the related field.
  3. Relevant working experience in the related industry will be an added advantage.
  4. Preferably Mandarin-speaking candidates, as the role requires dealing with Mandarin-speaking clients and offices in China.
  5. Detail-oriented and analytical, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with customers and teams to solve problems.
  7. Excellent communication skills, able to present technical information clearly.
  8. Independent and willing to travel.
