Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Shah Alam

Reports to: CEO

General Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our food manufacturing company specializing in bread, cream roll, and waffle production.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership, direction, and management of the Finance & Admin team
  • Exercising good judgement to identify and solve financial and complex operational problems
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO, board members, and the senior management team
  • Translating strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets. Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serving as the interface between local teams, related companies, and HQ
  • Overseeing the management and investment of funds and working with bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion, if necessary
  • Providing professional advice on long-term business and financial planning outlook
  • Ensuring that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organisation's short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and standards. Responding to individuals and situations with integrity and respect

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the food manufacturing industry, a deep understanding of cost control, and the ability to drive financial strategies that align with business growth.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • At least 15 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in the food manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries
  • Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in cost accounting, supply chain finance, and production cost optimization in food manufacturing
  • Proven ability to implement financial controls, improve profitability, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and strategic financial planning to support business expansion
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to food manufacturing and financial reporting
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with other senior executives
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making tools

Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • ACCA or equivalent financial certification is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations applicable to the manufacturing sector

Additional Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English is preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in an FMCG environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Team player
