The Role
We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic sales gun who loves the challenges of selling to new and cold clients in Kuala Lumpur. This is a genuine sales role for someone who is serious about selling – you are competitive, curious, and an outstanding communicator keen to get our amazing advertising solutions in front of the world's biggest packaged goods brands.
When you join us you will work directly with the world's top packaged goods companies, have the opportunity to interact with some of Asia Pacific's greatest marketing minds, and hone career-making sales, management, and production skills across television, digital, and social.

Key Responsibilities
- Use some of your existing contacts in the market to generate meetings with prospective clients around Malaysia - you must enjoy the challenge of prospecting to new and cold clients
- Setting up meetings with top-tier CPG, FMCG, and OTC companies across Malaysia to educate about our platforms and how they can serve their business, using various tactics such as e-mail, telephone, LinkedIn, etc.
- Use our online CRM tools (salesforce.com) to maintain detailed information on contacts, accounts, meetings, and opportunities
- Work effectively with multiple internal departments to sell, execute, and manage campaigns (i.e. creative and production teams)
- Research and manage potential leads and prospects through LinkedIn and industry database subscriptions to understand market dynamics and key players
- Use your industry knowledge to establish areas of opportunity with potential clients
- Become an expert in product categories and advertising best practices in order to persuade marketers to consider Buchanan's tools
- Use the skills you develop to close business with new clients
- Prepare quotes for qualified prospects and opportunities
- Prioritize and organize the sales pipeline for maximum efficiency on a daily basis

Our Qualifications and Experience Wishlist
- University Degree (Business or Marketing preferred) or relevant experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience (CPG exposure highly desirable)
- Proficient in English (both speaking and writing), added language skills of Thai, Mandarin, or Japanese (preferred)
- High levels of initiative, self-motivation, and time management
- Competitive and ambitious nature, demonstrating a strong aptitude for sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
- Experience in leading a team is highly desirable
