About The Role

As an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer in our brand new Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to play a role in the uptime of all Hyva data centres and/or Hyva subsidiaries. This role includes pro- and reactive monitoring and control activities on all Hyva Global IT systems.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for Microsoft 365 technical application management
  • Responsible for technical management of Microsoft Azure related resources
  • Performs monitoring and controls Hyva critical systems and Hyva domains
  • Identifies problems, and participates in the resolution
  • Interacts on issues with global data centres, network services, telephone systems, software systems and more to restore availability of services and/or to identify problems
  • Identifies and proposes system modifications to reduce user problems on systems, databases and/or applications
  • Participates in the review of problem situations, process improvements and identification of opportunities
  • Acquires technical and product knowledge to resolve problems
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots a wide range of server hard- and software at Hyva
  • Performs server hard- and software upgrades to existing equipment when needed
  • Responds to third line incidents and problem tickets on-site or remote
  • Contacts IT vendors or accesses online technical support to obtain required support and/or updates
  • Provides network support including installing network applications, granting access to users, creating user groups, managing shared resources
  • Contacts hard- and software vendors to obtain specifications, pricing, warranty cases and other purchase related information needed to guide departments in their selection of hard- or software
  • May assist in negotiating licenses and coordinates volume purchase arrangements for standard Hyva software packages

In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our Global functions teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.

Our Regional Hub supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.

You will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow, within Infrastructure or wider IT functions.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5 – 7 years of relevant working experience in Infrastructure / Cloud / Server, or equivalent applicable work experience
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Office product families, databases, command prompt operations and Microsoft Windows skills
  • Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, like LAN, WAN, routing, switching and Wi-Fi technology

Language

  • Good written and spoken English is essential
  • A proficiency in Japanese, Korean and/or Thai as well as other Asian languages will be an added advantage, however not mandatory

Qualification / Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science, or a related field
