Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives, functional needs, and project budgets.
  • Develop and present design concepts, detailed floor plans, 3D visualizations, and material boards to clients.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, offering creative direction and technical support.
  • Oversee all design stages, including client meetings, project proposals, and the execution of design plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Source and select materials, furnishings, and decor, ensuring consistency with the design vision.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and approve design documentation, including technical drawings and construction details.
  • Resolve design challenges and issues promptly to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, new materials, technologies, and industry best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with safety, accessibility, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in interior design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of high-quality, completed projects, especially in residential.
  • Proficiency in design software (3D Max, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of design principles, materials, finishes, and construction processes.
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships, leading teams, and delivering projects from concept to completion.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Interior Design (NCIDQ or similar).
  • Experience in managing large-scale or high-profile projects.
  • Experience with high-end or luxury residential projects is a plus.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience.
