Azan Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented QAQC Engineer (Protégé) to join our team on a contract basis in Kuching, Sarawak. As a QAQC Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our civil/structural engineering projects, contributing to the overall success of the company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control plans for construction projects
  2. Inspect construction materials, processes, and completed work to verify compliance with specifications and standards
  3. Identify and resolve quality issues, and recommend corrective actions to ensure project objectives are met
  4. Liaise with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address quality-related concerns
  5. Maintain detailed records and documentation of quality control activities
  6. Provide training and guidance to project team members on quality control procedures
  7. Assist in the development and improvement of quality management systems and processes

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
  2. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  3. Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and quality control practices
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
  5. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  8. Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies
