About the Role

The incumbent would be part of Investment Asset Infrastructure COE team of professionals who are responsible for the administration of Governing Documents ("GD") on behalf of all local AIA Business Units ("BU") and AIA Asset Management Companies ("AMC").

The incumbent is expected to ensure accuracy of GD and will be involved in the continuous improvement of the design, administration and oversight of the cloud-based Confluence platform.

  1. Facilitate in-scope AIA Business Units and AMCs' accountability for generating and maintaining their respective Governing Documents in collaboration with the BU CIOs and the Head of Asset Classes for outsourced portfolios.
  2. Perform ongoing quality assurance review of Governing Documents across all AIA entities in Confluence.
  3. Provide support to all Confluence users, including administration of access rights and user groups.
  4. Perform key metrics and management reporting of Governing Document, validating against:
  • all Bloomberg Pre-Trade (CMGR) rule changes;
  • mandate document changes (including Strategic Asset Allocation targets and Target Asset Allocation range changes, Duration, credit quality etc.);
  • Investment Governance Framework/Group Risk Standards;
  • local regulatory requirements; and
  • manual vs. automated pre-trade controls capabilities in Bloomberg/Aladdin.

- Support wider automation and process streamlining initiatives of the wider IAI COE team.

- Other ad hoc activities as delegated by the Associate Director, IAI COE from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years of operations and/or data management and reporting from reputable financial services companies, with preference given to candidates with a strong understanding of the portfolio management process on a global/regional (APAC) basis. Candidates with financial audit, compliance testing, or internal controls with regional exposures are preferred.

Education:

  • University Degree in any of the following fields i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics.
  • Finance or IT related Professional Certifications, or progress towards completion, would be viewed favorably.

Experience:

  • Involved in setting up and maintaining database system for Investment or Finance functions.
  • Performing two-/three-way analysis to reconcile data among different sources to ensure a high level of consistency in data and outputs.
  • Experienced in dealing with various stakeholders ie. Regulator, Legal, Investment, Finance, Operations and Auditors.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following Data and Automation tools (i.e. PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, Sharepoint) and/or programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python, VBA) would be an added advantage.

Other requirements:

  • Analytically minded with an aptitude towards attention to precision and detail.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent and exercise strong self-initiative.
