Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervise and lead a planning support team in the daily production planning and scheduling activities.
  2. Coordinate and align with the Asia planning team and IE to balance weekly build plans intake with production capacity.
  3. Develop and maintain a comprehensive master loading schedule that meets customer demand while adhering to manufacturing capacity.
  4. Ensure that critical or urgent orders are prioritized in the schedule to meet customer deadlines and minimize delays.
  5. Regularly adjust daily schedules based on changes in demand, material availability, or unforeseen disruptions (e.g., machine downtime, supply chain issues).
  6. Balance the workload across production lines or shifts to ensure that available capacity is used effectively while avoiding bottlenecks.
  7. Proactively identify and resolve any potential WIP pile-ups to maintain a smooth production flow.
  8. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that raw materials and components are available on time to meet production schedules.
  9. Quickly identify delays or production bottlenecks and take corrective action to bring schedules back on track.
  10. Monitor the flow of Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure work orders are completed within the established Manufacturing Lead Time (MLT).
  11. Collaborate with the Order Fulfillment team to streamline processes and ensure timely delivery.
  12. Serve as a key liaison between production, procurement, quality control, process & product engineering, and logistics departments.
  13. Analyze production data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  14. Support other tasks and production analysis reports that are assigned by the departmental manager/HOD.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelor's degree in related field
  2. Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in production planning is required for this position.
  3. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  4. Ability to multi-task in high energy and fast-paced environment with critical and tight schedule.

Preferred

  1. Preferably with hands-on experience in SAP module in PP, Oracle and MES system.
  2. Good understanding of manufacturing and production planning processes.

Skills

  1. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  2. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
