Job Description

About the Role:

Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and shaping the future of IT infrastructure? We're looking for a talented Enterprise Endpoint Engineer to join Brooks Automation Malaysia In this role, you'll work closely with global teams, reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering based in the US, to enhance our endpoint management capabilities.

Based at our brand-new, greenfield manufacturing site in Johor, you will be responsible for the design and deployment of configurations, policies, settings, and applications for all managed end-user systems, while working with Infrastructure, End User Computing, Information Security, and other IT groups to create and implement a support structure, improve security posture, and maintain endpoint lifecycles. This position will also act as a technical resource for technical support staff and work with multiple departments to ensure their managed endpoints meet their technical requirements and operate optimally.

Work Location: Onsite – Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configures and maintains endpoint management systems (e.g. KACE & Microsoft Intune).
  • Builds, tests, and maintains imaging systems for Windows devices.
  • Builds, tests, and maintains application packages & distribution methods for Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Maintains and monitors endpoint compliance profiles to enforce security standards.
  • Works with other IT members to help remediate non-compliant devices.
  • Ensures appropriate configurations, policies, and scripts are properly deployed to endpoints.
  • Provides standardized reporting on device compliance, application deployment, endpoint patch management, and software inventory.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Mobile Device Management (MDM), Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM), and Mobile Application Management (MAM) concepts and provides support for End User Computing and other IT groups.
  • Design, implement, and manage legacy asset management solutions (e.g. KACE) and work to deploy modern solutions (e.g. Intune).
  • Works with End User Computing to help maintain endpoint lifecycles for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Works with Information Security to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Recommend and implement security best practices to sustain and improve the security of all mobile devices.
  • Understand and resolve complex operational issues impacting user productivity and design proactive resolutions to address and prevent.
  • Stays updated on industry trends and provides recommendations for improvement of endpoint management systems.
  • Occasional travel (domestic & international) is expected for ensuring seamless collaboration across locations and effective engagement with global stakeholders.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT service delivery and endpoint management.
  • Proficient in KACE, Intune and Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
  • Microsoft Certified: Intune and Azure certifications a plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with AD Security Groups, Ops, DNS and GPO management.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPN and certificate-based authentication.
